Together, our votes have the collective power to decide the future of the country we want to see.
Here are four ways we can help individuals who want to register to vote.

The last day to register to vote in the General Election on November 3rd for Florida is on October 5, 2020.

Due to the pandemic, online voter registration is a good choice and is available at vote411.org

If someone needs help obtaining a voter identification before they can register to vote, contact Vote Riders. www.voteriders.org 844-338-8743

If Returning Citizens need help paying fines and fees in order to be eligible to vote, contact Florida Rights Restoration Coalition. floridarrc.com

Greetings Lower Keys League members and friends,

I trust you are staying safe here in the Lower Keys or wherever you may be.

First and foremost, please visit our newly redesigned website at lowerkeyslwv.org. Anne Barnett, Communications Chair, has done a beautiful job upgrading the design and information.

Of particular interest – and at the very top of the homepage – is a banner commemorating the 100thyear of U.S. women’s right to vote. Click on the “learn more” button to be taken to a page of exemplary women in our community. Program Chair Caroline Horn and a committee of League volunteers developed this collection of vignettes in honor of the centennial. We originally anticipated hosting a garden party at the Little White House and had even reserved the date. Clearly that is impossible under the current circumstances, so Caroline and committee suggested this virtual commemoration, and it is a winner across the board. It literally gave me goosebumps when I looked through all the wonderful women who have made us Keys Strong. Indeed, it still does.
