Voter Resources
Voter Services Committee
Voter service is a key component of the League of Women Voters’ mission.
We encourage citizens to register to vote, keep their voter information current, learn about ballot issues, and above all to VOTE!
Voter Services Committee Activities Include:
- Registering voters
- Helping voters update their voter registration
- Adopting a precinct by serving as poll workers
- Educating voters on proposed ballot amendments
- Assisting with processing absentee ballots
Don’t let your mail-in/absentee ballot registration expire
The League of Women Voters of Florida reminds voters wishing to cast an absentee ballot that they can make a request or renew an absentee ballot with a simple phone call to their local Supervisor of Elections. Renewals can also be made online or via mail. An absentee ballot requested is good for two general election cycles following the initial period under Florida law, (FS. 101.62(1)(a). After that initial period, however, the request must be renewed or it will automatically sunset. You can renew your mail-in/absentee ballot status with the Monroe County Supervisor of Elections and online.
